On July 1st, 2017 I was appointed coordinator of New One: Learning without Borders. This program is designed to give first-year students at U of T a small-class experience while transitioning into university. The New College communications department posted a nice write-up about my appointment and I am very excited for the opportunity to contribute to such an important program. I have dedicated most of my career so far to teaching first-year students. Having had vastly different experiences beginning a law degree at age 16 and starting a history degree at age 25, I do believe that first year to be crucial. I hope to be able to bring my experience in the IFP to New One and to collaborate closely with instructors and staff to make this year a rewarding one for our students.
